CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure

Achieving CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure certification proves your skills with complex enterprise infrastructure solutions. To earn CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure certification, you pass two exams: a qualifying exam that covers core enterprise infrastructure technologies, and a hands-on lab exam that covers enterprise networks through the entire network lifecycle, from designing and deploying to operating and optimizing.

Implementing Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies (ENCOR 350-401)

  • Implementing Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies v1.0 (ENCOR 350-401) is associated with the CCNP Enterprise, CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure, CCIE Enterprise Wireless, and Cisco Certified Specialist - Enterprise Core certifications. This training expands candidate's knowledge of implementing core enterprise network technologies including dual stack (IPv4 and IPv6) architecture, virtualization, infrastructure, network assurance, security and automation. The course, Implementing Cisco Enterprise Network Core Technologies, helps candidates prepare for this exam.

    Training Content

    • 1.0 Architecture

Candidates will learn the different design principles used in an enterprise network, analyze design principles of a WLAN deployment, differentiate between on-premises and cloud infrastructure deployments amongst other things.

    • 2.0 Virtualization

Candidates will learn about device virtualization technologies and also be taught how to configure and verify data path virtualization technologies.

    • 3.0 Infrastructure

Emphasis will be laid on configuring and troubleshooting basic concepts of layer 2 switching and predicting the data flow and understanding, configuring and troubleshooting routing protocols for IPV4 and IPV6. Topics like OSPF (single and multi-area) and EIGRP (load balancing, equal and unequal).

    • 4.0 Network Assurance

Participants will learn how to diagnose network problems using tools such as debugs, conditional debugs, trace route, ping, SNMP, and syslog.

    • 5.0 Security

Candidates will learn how to configure and verify device access control, lines and password protection, authentication and authorization using AAA.

    • 6.0 Automation

Interpret basic Python components and scripts, Construct valid JSON encoded file, describe the high-level principles and benefits of a data modeling language, such as YANG, Describe APIs for Cisco DNA Center and vManage etc.

CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure Training Topics – Practice training (LAB)

  • The Cisco CCIE Enterprise Infrastructure (v1.0) Practical Exam is an eight-hour, hands-on exam that requires a candidate to plan, design, deploy, operate, and optimize dual stack solutions (IPv4 and IPv6) for complex enterprise networks. Candidates are expected to program and automate the network within their exam, as per exam topics below.

    Training Content

    • 1.0 Network Infrastructure

Participants will learn Routing protocols, switched campus technologies such as: Switch administration, Managing MAC address, table Errdisable recovery, L2 MTU Etc.

    • 2.0 Software Defined Infrastructure

Participants will be exposed to the cisco software defined environment and will learn how to use Cisco SD Access, design a Cisco SD Access solution, underlay network (IS-IS, manual/PnP).

    • 3.0 Transport Technologies and Solutions

Participants will learn MPLS Operations, Label stack, LSR, LSPMPLS ping, MPLS traceroute L3VPN PE-CE routing MP-BGP VPNv4/VPNv6 Extranet (route leaking).

    • 4.0 Infrastructure Security and Services

Participants will learn about device Security on Cisco IOS XE, Control plane policing and protection AAA, Network Security, Switch security features VACL, PACL Storm control, DHCP Snooping, DHCP option 82 etc.

    • 5.0 Infrastructure Automation and Programmability

Participants will learn about data encoding formats, JSON, XML, Automation and scripting, EEM applets, Guest shell, Linux environment, CLI Python module, EEM Python module.
